Turin is an infamous industrial city, made big by the legacy of FIAT. Historically it was the intellectual and political engine behind the Risorgimento, the movement that led to Italy’s unification, and briefly its first capital. But what I’m most proud of it for is the agnolotti del plin.

I look for hardware and software businesses that will either (i) reimagine how capacity is generated starting from the jobsite, or (ii) build new capacity by transforming how existing infrastructure delivers.

I was born in a family of two architects, coming from a broader one of civil engineers. Bridge-watching has always been a hobby, alongside judging interior designs. My mother left the studio 20+ years ago and started filling the house first with hand-made jewelry and then with hand-knitted bags. My dad is carrying the torch in the family studio (simete.com) - he’s currently working on Martin Garrix’s house in Côte d’Azur.

I try to get out and eat local stuff as much as I can.
